Have you seen the Tissue Box Covers in the Sihouette store? Jamie Cripps posted several in both the square tall box and short rectangular box style. They have all different kinds of designs for the overlay. Everything from holidays to flowers to stripes and more. Of course once you have the basic box pattern you can embellish any way you want.
I made the tall square box cover with the flower - looks like a rose. I have a friend who is really into purple so I made it with that color.
Isn't it lovely? Now with fall coming we're going into cold season and I like having a couple of boxes around. Now I can make them to match my decor or for fun to match the current holiday.
Maybe I'll have to make some more to share. Or, better yet, I'd love to see what some of you might make. If you do, please share and I'll feature them on my blog.
And then, just a little something extra. When you use the overlay on the tissue box it leaves this lovely flower behind on your cutting mat.
I used transfer paper and pulled it off the mat and placed it on a card front.
Pretty cool huh?
And that's not all you can do with this wonderful file. You could cut one of the overlays and use it as a stencil to ink an image onto a card front. Or, you could use your sketch pens and sketch it to use on a card.
That's what makes owning a Silhouette Cameo so much fun. The versatility makes for endless creativity.
