Over at Silhouette Challenges the new challenge is "create your own scene card". There are some really beautiful cards over there so I hope you will go take a look. But, before you do take a look at the one I created.
I've been into gate fold cards for a few days so this is a gate fold card. I wanted to make a garden or park scene and my husband does metal work so I started with a wrought iron gate. It looked a little ominous though so I added some silver scrolls to lighten it up a little.
Once the gates open a park bench awaits you and a kitty is there waiting for someone to sit down and pet it. I stenciled on the clouds behind the branch and hand drew the tufts of grass and flowers on the hillside behind the bench.
It was fun to make with the following images from my Silhouette Cameo library:
- Scrollwork Flourishs 1 - Hero Arts #10111
- Bench - Silhouette #2854
- Garden Gate - Sarah Bailey #10337
- Grass Border - Sophie Gallo #19674
- Branch - Silhouette #1601
- Cats - Rivka Williams #3639
I hope you enjoy it. I will be entering it in the Silhouette Challenges. If I have time I will make another one or two to enter as well.
