Why do I blog?  I blog because I like to share what I do and I think it's good enough to share.  At least as good as some, maybe not as good as others but good enough to believe I have something to share. 

It isn't totally about an ego trip, although I'd be lying if I didn't admit that there is some of that in my motivation.  It fuels my creative energy when someone says they enjoy something I've made.  It makes me happy when someone wants to copy something I've made.

It isn't only about finding customers who will support me although that is a piece of the reason.  I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I really like their products and they work great for what I do.  I need customers to buy through me so I can finance future creative endeavors.

It IS about sharing.  I LOVE what I do.  I LOVE making, creating, designing and SHARING beautiful things with others.  I LOVE offering ideas and inspiration to others to find their creative niche and nurture it.

I'm not so good at selling but I am good at paper crafting.  I'm good at it and I get a tremendous amount of joy out of it.  I'm not too worried about keeping up with the latest products or trends.  Mainly I just want to share what I do.

So, if that appeals to you, sign up for my blog or follow me.  I'd love to have you on board and I'd love to have you share what I do with your friends and invite them to follow me too.  The more the merrier. 

And when I share I want you to share too. Post your comments.  They don't always have to be positive.  You can make suggestions.  You can also share what you did with the inspiration you received from me I would love to see what you're doing too. 

You won't see daily posts from me, you might not even see weekly posts because I post when I've been inspired to make something and that doesn't happen every day.  My creative moments seem to come in spurts where I will make several things and then not make anything at all for several days. 

So, I hope that helps you understand where I'm coming from and what you can expect from me.  I hope to see that you've joined me here.

As many of you know I have and use an electronic cutting machine called a Silhouette Cameo.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine!  It is so versatile and a great addition to the wonderful stamp sets, embossing folders, inks and coordinated colors and papers that Stampin' Up! offers. 

I have had my Silhouette Cameo since they first came out.  I can't remember how many years ago that was but it was a few and I've gotten better at utilizing this wonderful tool to create some really fun and beautiful projects.

Recently one of the blogs I follow offered a Silhouette Cameo online class.  I didn't know if I would really gain that much from the class since I have had my Silhouette for so long but I did learn a few new things so I'm glad I took it.   If you have or are getting a Silhouette Cameo I highly reccommend taking the class.  It's by Jessica Sprague and you can find more info here.  The cost is really reasonable and you get all the files needed to complete a wonderful one month memory book. 

I made this book for a friend to give to her friend who is traveling to China with her son on a one month mission trip so I included lots of open spaces for journaling because that is what she wanted it for. 

The color coordination was a snap.  I just pulled out the Venitian Romance DSP from Stampin' Up! looked up what colors were used in the designs for my solid card stock colors and started cutting.  It all came together just beautifully.

I will share just a few of the pages from the album.  If you want to see more buy the class it is worth every penny.

I was browsing around for inspiration for more Valentine cards, decor etc. and I kept seeing the heart shaped locks and keys and thought I would make a card that used those elements. 

This is what I came up with.  A little elegant yet really quite simple.  I cut the lock and key using shapes "Locks Antique" and "Love Heart" from the Silhouette library.  The embossed background is made using one of the embossing folders that came with my ebosser and the word "love" is stamped from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Best of Love.  The gold is gold foil also from Stampin' Up!.  The gold and silver foil are in the Holiday catalog and I'm ordering some more in case it doesn't carry over because it is really nice to use and work with for so much more than just Christmas.
