Summer fun is here! I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have actually had some nice sunny days these past weeks. Enough that I've started to get a little bit of a tan! Whoo Hoo! However, I did need to come in from the sun long enough to make something for our Creative Circle blog hop. This months theme is Summer Fun and I had fun coming up with something to share with you.
I have been wanting to make a Summer Subway art for some time. I was part of a blog hop in the past and made one for spring that I really liked and I told myself I would make one for each season and just never got around to it. You can see the spring art HERE.
Now I have one for summer as well and I hope you enjoy it. I made this with a combination of Stampin' Up! stamps, dies, and inks as well as some Silhouette Cameo print and cut, cut, and design and print options.
I used the Silhouette to print the words "Summer", "Fun in the sun", and lemonade. The Summer and Lemonade words I took off the internet bringing them in and sizing them to fit. The "fun in the sun" I just used the text tool writing each word seperately so I could place them how I wanted. I also brought in the pictures of the flip flops and turned them into print and cut. The sail boat is made using the Swirly Scribbles dies but I wanted the sail two colors so I brought the images into my Silhouette software so I could cut out the overlay for the sails. The basket and the ants is an image from the Silhouette store called Picnic Basket with Ants.
