I have had my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter for over a decade and I use it to make a lot of things but lately I have felt like I could be doing so much more. Recently I saw a post for the "Silhouette Life Inspiration Box". It is a month to month subscription. You can get the details HERE. The reason I signed up was I wanted to be challenged to try new things.
I received my first box this month. Videos and files connected with the projects are posted weekly on the web page and the first project was to make a daily planner. All of my appointments, birthdays etc. are on my google calendar and sync across all my devices so I don't use a planner. However, I have been on a weight loss/healthy eating journey for about a year and have been consulting a nutritionist. One of my assignments for this week was to begin making meal plans so this was a perfect opportunity to convert my planner to a meal planner notebook.
I printed the dividers that were provided for the kit, adjusting the holes so that the pages were centered top to bottom because in the original files they were off a bit and it drove me crazy. LOL To do this I un-grouped the image until the holes were not connected to any other part and I used the arrow key to move them UP 7 clicks and that worked perfectly. I then printed them on Whisper White card stock from Stampin' Up!
Next I used the weekly pages that were provided and re-vamped them to fit what I needed adding a grocery list and changing the words at the top. I adjusted the holes on these as well using the same procedure as before. These pages need to be printed front to back and you can get a very simple how to for that from Silhouette School HERE. I printed on 24lb copy paper and was happy with the results but you could go heavier if you want to.
I kept the "notes" pages because they will work nicely for writing down recipes I see on Youtube or just making note of a source to find later. Another page I wanted to create was "Pantry List" page where items I wanted to keep on hand to use regularly are listed with a check box so I can just check off what I need before I go to the store.
I also journal what I eat, at least for now, so I created a meal journaling page.
And lastly I created a pantry shopping check list.
That was fun, a little bit of work but I'm pleased with the end result. The tag is made using Faux Leather Paper and HTV. Believe it or not this is the very first time I've used HTV with my Cameo. Most certainly a learning curve there and it didn't come out perfectly but for a first time attempt it wasn't bad.
Hope you enjoyed stopping by. Let me know what you think!
