A customer bought the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and the Blossom Builder punch from Stampin' Up! and asked me to make some cards using the set. I saw a version of this one on the internet but gave it my own touch which I will explain.
Materials are really simple:
Whisper White And Watermelon Wonder card stock
Wild Wasabi and Garden Green ink pads
Bunch of Blossoms stamp set
Build A Blossom Punch
Scor-Pal score board & Stylus
I will take you through step by step as there are some tips that will help you utilize your materials more efficiently and you will see how I made the lattice pattern on the art piece of the card.
The base card is 5.5" x 4.25", The art piece is 5.25" x 4". Using the Score-Pal score board and stylus line up the two opposite corners on the 4" line of the score pal. (all photos will pop open to full size for better viewing if needed)
Hold it in place and score every 1/2" across the piece. Turn it to the other two corners and do the same. When you're done you'll have a lattice look on your art piece.
Now, to make your leaves use Wild Wasabi for step one, stamping it off once before stamping on the piece you'll keep. Step two stamp with Wild Wasabi and don't stamp off. Step three stamp with Garden Green.
For the stems I stamped part one with Wild Wasabi and part two with Garden Green and then I hand cut those out.
For the stem toppers I stamped the 5 point flower, punched it out and them trimmed the center petal out and trimmed the two bottom petals off a bit as shown.
For the flower I punched out 5 larger petals and two smaller petals from Whisper White and one smaller petal from Watermelon. I like to save materials as much as possible so I cut the piece for the larger petals 1.25" wide and the one for the smaller petal .75" wide so I could feed them through the punch losing as little peripheral material as possible.
Attach the complete flowers, stems and leaves to the card front.
I liked the white on white but of course with the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set you can stamp your petals and create an even different look.
Hope you enjoyed dropping by. Leave me a comment.
