Good morning to you! I am happy to share an original with you that I made using my Silhouette Cameo. I'm looking forward to the Curio coming soon and have it on pre-order because I would so love to do a metal stippling or etched center for this flower.
But, for now this is how this came about. I went to JoAnn Fabric and all the fall decorations are out and I immediately started thinking about how I could make them using my Cameo. So I bought some glittery card stock and went to work.
I made the shapes for the leaves and the centers myself so I can share them if you ask I will send you the file. It will be in the latest edition of Studio Designer.
I used one color for the leaves and two colors for the center. The second layer of leaves I added some color with ink and a sponge so it added some depth and dimension. The first center layer is flat. The second center layer is a bit smaller circumference and I added the little half circles so that they lifted up to add more dimension.
The leaves have a score line down the middle so that they can be easily folded to add some dimension to them as well.
I just added some linen thread to hang it with and I think it looks lovely. I make these to take to my clients at the nursing home so they can have something cheery to hang on their wall.
This picture really captures the sparkle.
Enjoy!
