I broke out the vinyl the other day and haven't stopped yet. I've used it to decorate and to make stencils. I've been having fun and I think my dear hubby is going to hide the paints pretty soon if I don't stop stenciling everything in sight. BWG
This latest project was an outdoor one. My husband works in a gravel pit and over the years he has always kept an eye out for unusual large rocks that we could use to landscape the garden. He has brought home some really cool rocks!
The latest he brought home stands about 3 feet tall by 10 inches across by 6 inches deep. It had a fairly clean face with these really awesome rusty spots up the sides. It looks really cool in the rock bed on the front of the house.
Then, I was looking for phrases for another project and came across this one:
"When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is Higher than I" Psalm 62:1
Immediately my mind went to the new rock and how cool it would be to put that phrase on it. So, I went to work and cut the phrase and the arrows out of vinyl, weeded it and attached it to the rock then painted it with acrylic paints.
I really like it. I hope you do too. Let me know what you think, I love to hear from you.
