I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm ready for spring. Some of my daffodils opened up today and the crocus bloomed last week. So lovely. We have even had some sunshine and blue sky the past few days as well. Now I'm just hoping the weather holds out so we get a good turn out at our 16th Annual Gala Garden Show.
So I made a hat to wear to the show.
And I can't wait to show it off. I'm sure it will get lots of compliments. And since I was in the mood I decided it was time for a new centerpiece for my dining table. I absolutely love the Winter Gazebo kit by SVG Cuts . Mary is so great about adding in extras that she added in pieces that didn't have snowflakes and Ice cicles so that the gazebo could be finished out for just about any time of year. Yeah! That is exactly what I wanted to do!
So I pulled out the Stampin' Up! designer series paper Sweet Sorbet (available in the Sale-A-Bration catalog and FREE with a purchase of $50.00 until March 31st) and got to work.
Here is what I ended up with.
The colors that coordinate with the Sweet Sorbet DSP are the 2013-15 in colors so this incorporates Crisp Cantelope card stock as well as Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Basic Black.
Here are some close ups:
This is the base. I topped it with some of the lovely green design just because it reminded me of grass and flowers.
This is the floor of the gazebo. I like the look of an inlaid design.
This is the inside of the dome or roof. Surely whoever steps inside will be impressed with the beauty of the ceiling.
And last but not least take a look through the doorway, and you'll see I've added a couple of benches. These are from the 3D Ledge Village store 2 and Park Bench by Marji Roy item#47044. I just enlarged the design to fit the scale of the gazebo.
Pretty cool huh? Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
