This is the last day of my sharing how I organize some of the products I ordered from the new Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up! There are many things I won't address here just a couple of unique ideas I've come across and utilized in my craft space.
The first is my embellishment storage. I actually have two different systems and I use them both. One is a piece of sheet metal attached to the wall and magnetic containers that stick to it and hold small embellishments like confetti, clothes pins etc. The other uttilizes the standard and wood mount stamp cases.
The sheet metal my husband got from the local sheet metal fab shop and just attached it to the wall. The containers were from a magnetic spice container set that Costco had for a while. I have also purchased the tins and attached my own sticky back magnetic material to them. These work great for the more bulky embellishments as well as for things like confetti. I put a label on the top so I know what is in them.
I got these metal CD/DVD racks on line. For my use I was able to cut one unit in half and insert it into my shelf space. The regular opening fits the standard stamp cases and to fit the wood mount cases I cut one of the dividers out with wire cutters. I did screw these to the wall so that when I pulled out the cases they would stay in place and not tip over. Here is a link to the racks I used.
The last item I am going to share today is how I have started storing my washi tape. Now, I know that this won't work for everybody because they have so many rolls but for my purposes where I only have the current Stampin' Up! washi tape this works perfectly.
For this I purchased a decorative wood plaque drilled holes into it and inserted 3/4 inch dowel and attached a wood ball on top. I like it because my tape is out where I can see it and when I can see it I use it more often.
So there you have it. That's enough isn't it? My next post will be sharing some sneak peaks at what I am making with all of the items I have purchased from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.
See you soon!
