Hello again! I have another 100% Stampin' Up! card for you that can also be created with your Silhouette Cameo if you want to.
I have been in the mood to find some fun folds for cards and in looking around I found this one. I'm not sure what you would call it, I call it a Corner Flip Card. The stamp set I used is the Birthday Blooms. The base card is a discontinued color with layer one being Pink Pirouette and the art piece layer Whisper White.
First I'll give you instructions on how to make this card without the Silhouette Cameo:
- Cut base card 8.5 x 5.5 and score on the 4.25 mark
- With base card in landscape orientation and the front of the card to your right place the left edge on the 4 3/4" mark on your table top cutter
- Using the measuring marks on the blade holder cut from the 1/2" mark down to the 3 3/4" mark which will create a slit 3 1/4" long
- Turn the base counter clockwise to portrait orientation place the left edge on the 3 3/4" mark and cut from the 1/2" mark on the blade holder down to the 3 3/4" mark - the two cut lines should match on the corners
- This will create a 3 1/4" square I drew dark lines so you could see where your cut lines will be
- Push the cut corner towards the inside of the card, flip it over and fold the two 1/2" edges
- Once you have turned and folded the corner flap this is what it will look like from the inside of the card
Once layered this is the look with the card closed. I used a glue dot on the corner of the square flap to hold it down.
The mats are cut to fit. The flip corner is 3.25 square so layer one is 3" square and the art layer is 2.75" square.
I cut the mats for the sentiment 1" by 3.75" and .75 x 3.25 and just cut the ends free hand at an angle.
The image is stamped with Staz on Black and colored with pink pirouette, blushing bride and calypson coral, wild wasabi using blender pens.
Now, if you don't like the idea of having to do all that cutting you can get the card file I created for my Silhouette Studio 3 that has all the mats and everything all laid out for you. You can get that sent to you just by sharing this post on your facebook page and lettting me know that you did that.
Enjoy!
