It's October and time for some Halloween fun. I saw this design in the Silhouette Store and immediately thought of my grandsons ages 4 and 6. They have a four sided face puzzle they call their Papa puzzle because it is a mans face. The can turn the hat, eyes, ears, nose, mouth and cheeks around and make multiple different faces and they have a lot of fun with it.
So I decided I would do something similar with the Halloween Pumpkin Face Stackers item #97332 by Carnina Gardner. Her designs come in two different files and each has faces on two sides. I combined all four designs onto the three blocks. Eyes, Noses and mouths. Then I put a dowel hole in the center of the tops and bottoms of each box so I could thread them onto a dowel. I also enlarged them to 6.333 x 11.550. Be sure to capture the black pieces that go inside the boxes behind the cutouts so they are the correct size too.
Once on the dowel the boys can spin their different layers and make multiple pumpkin faces.
Of course there are many different face combinations but here are a few more. You can just click on any image to see a larger version.
The dowel holds them perfectly in place. I made the hole 1/4" and stretched over a 3/8" dowel so the fit was snug and they wouldn't spin too easily. Of course I hope they wear them out having fun making faces!
Enjoy!
