What is it about lighthouses that we are so attracted to them? I know I'm not the only one that likes to look at them. When the lighthouse favor boxes by Sweet Afton came up in the Silhouette store I immediately bought them.
It is designed to be small and cute which is wonderful but I enlarged it just a bit. I kept it small enough that each color could fit on standard 8.5 x 11 card stock though.
The finished project ended up being about 7" tall including the cute little flag on top.
It took me a while to figure out which pieces to cut from what color but once that was sorted out they are very simple to put together.
I am making these to share with the women at my Bible study so I created an overlay for 5 of the 6 panels and added scripture. I also added an anchor so there would be some variety in the embellishments. I was going to make some in red too but just didn't get to that before I wrote the post.
I love 3D paper projects and I love sharing them with others it really brings a smile to their faces.
I used Stampin' Up! whisper white, pacific point and night of navy card stock and assembled them with Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue which is the best for 3D projects.
Enjoy!
