I typically don't celebrate Halloween but I do like fall, leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows and corn stalks so I put together a display that is just a little bit "Spooky" and a whole lot of cute.
I already shared about the Spider Web tealight you can check that out HERE.
The Pumpkin boxes are by Snapdragon Snippets "3d pumpkins pair cubic" item 48298
The tealight holders are 3D Pumpkin Tealight Holder item 68068 by Jamie Cripps. Her tutorial is HERE.
I must confess, I was in sparkly mode after making the 5 Christmas cards in my previous post but Stampin' Up! doesn't sell glitter paper in the colors I needed for fall projects so I had to go get some from my local craft store. The card stock is by Core'dinations and I got mine at Joann's Fabric & Craft. The price was right too, right now they are 5 - 12x12 sheets for $1.00. Can't beat that! And the weight worked well for cutting and assembly too.
I made two of the boxes with Stampin' Up! materials.
This one is made using the Fancy Foil DSP, Tangelo Twist, and two discontinued green colors. I put glitter in the flourish on the leaf just to add some sparkle and a bow made with gold Baker's Twine.
This one is made using the Hello Honey card stock and the same greens as the first as well as some yellow DSP also discontinued.
This is the one made with the Core'dinations glitter card stock. I added some candy dots from Stampin' Up! as well as a Linen Thread bow.
On all I used a stylus and added texture to the stem. I put them all together with Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue. The glitter takes a while longer to dry but have patience and it will hold wonderfully once it's dry.
Those little pumpkin tealights are really cute and very easy to make. I cut the entire file out of the glitter but you don't have to do that.
Cut the main tealight pumpkin piece and one large circle with the center cut out, from the card stock you want to see when it is finished. In my case the glitter paper.
Cut the rest, two large circles with the centers cut out, one large circle, one small circle with a center circle and the edge in a coordinating or matching color of card stock.
To conserve a little bit more of your material you can skip cutting the smallest circle by just move the small little circle center to the center of the larger circle and use your align tool to center it there. Then delete that other small circle. That inner circle is the same size so why cut another piece?
