I recently ordered 2015 mini calendars to make desk calendars for Christmas gifts. I've been making these for several years now and I try to change up the design every year.
These are some of the ones I've made in the past. They are always some type of acordian fold on the bottom so they will stand up on the desk and I try to keep them fairly small so they don't take up too much room.
This year is a bit different. I saw this idea on facebook. Chandi Walsh shared a picture of her design that is supposed to be coming out in the Sihouette Store. Her rendition is really cute and you can see it . She has a whole group of post it note holders going up for sale on Tuesday, July 29th and you won't want to miss checking them out.
My problem is I have no patience so I sat down and put together my own. I loved the idea of putting the pen and the post it notes together and then I added the calendar and made it just a little bit wider too.
As ususal I used all Stampin' Up! materials to make my project.
- Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sky card stock
- Park Lane DSP
The calendars came from Taylored Expressions. The post it notes from Costco and the pens from Amazon.com.
Don't forget to check out Chandi's designs in the Silhouette Store she has made some really cool variations on a clever project.
Enjoy! And please, leave me a comment I would love to hear from you.
